Welcome to Wally World 2025

Welcome to Wallyworld2025, the personal website of former sportswriter and retired St. Lawrence University sports information director Wally Johnson.

Retirement has had its ups and downs physically, which I will talk about and there will be some reminiscences of a 52 year career in journalism and college athletics. I find myself with some extra time on my hands, so I will re-engage with my enjoyment of both writing and photography. There will be a photo gallery attached to the blog at some point, but it may take awhile to get it together.

After a number of not so fun episodes with Facebook, I am going to try to minimize my use of Meta sites (a post coming on that). If you like this site, please pass it along to friends and colleagues who might be interested.
